ADHD investigation
If you have questions about ADHD assessment, you can book an appointment for an initial assessment with one of our neuropsychologists. It will then be assessed whether there is a basis for proceeding with a full investigation.
Many people are unsure whether they may have ADHD. With us, you get a thorough investigation of this, with neuropsychological mapping. A typical investigation varies between 7-12 hours, depending on complexity. The investigation is carried out by a neuropsychologist or a psychologist undergoing further training in neuropsychology. If it is considered that you probably have ADHD, you will be offered an appointment with our psychiatrist to discuss possible treatment.
If it is considered that there are other psychological conditions that should be investigated instead, you will be recommended to proceed with one of our clinical psychologists for further investigation and possible treatment.

Choice of investigation method
Initial interview (50 min.)
Clarify the need for further investigation / collection of background information. Go through the background for the referral and the framework for the investigation.
Conversation processing (50 min.)
Process difficult experiences in relation to damage/dysfunction in the brain and possibly get advice on practical techniques, strategies etc.
Screening of cognitive function and/or personality functions (5 to 6 hours)
Less extensive investigations where specific cognitive functions are to be mapped, for example dementia assessment, capacity assessment, etc.
Neuropsychological examination (6 to 12 hours)
A more comprehensive assessment that provides assessment and description of cognitive function level, for example AD(H)D assessment, differential problems etc. Relevant cognitive testing, as well as an assessment of whether it is appropriate to have a further conversation with our psychiatrist.
A referral from a doctor is not required to book an appointment.
In cases where NAV or other bodies refer, it will be important to have a written reference. An answer will then be sent to the examinee and a copy to the referring body.
